Years ago, I made the move to northwest Montana for love; I married a Montanan. I photograph to be outdoors more and to really live in a place where the mountains weren't a destination, but a daily reality. I got married along the river here, in a simple ceremony with the people I love, and it was one of the best days of my life. That day taught me something: the weddings that matter most are the ones that feel like you, in a place that feels alive.

 I'm based in northwest Montana, at the gateway to Glacier National Park, and I know this place intimately — the light, the seasons, the hidden corners. Love deserves to be felt in the places that take your breath away, don't you think? I believe the best wedding days are the ones you want to relive every anniversary.

I love all four seasons here — the wildflowers in late spring, the golden light in summer, the way the mountains shift in October and April when the shoulder season arrives and the tourists thin out. Those are the moments when the mountains feel like they're yours alone. I know these mountains in every light, every weather, every mood. I know the permits and the seasons, the hidden corners and the iconic overlooks. That knowledge is what I bring to every elopement I photograph — not just someone documenting your day, but someone who knows the place you chose.
